What's Wrong With DScaler?

I've been experimenting the past few days capturing with DScaler. I remember seeing a comment once where someone said to NEVER capture with DScaler and I gotta say:
Unlike VDub, DScaler instantly recognizes my Hauppauge USB-Live2 device, there have been ZERO dropped frames and the audio is in perfect sync.
I normally just capture to straight MPEG2 and that is just fine for my needs....but so far the results I'm getting are fantastic.

I then load the AVI into VDub, do some Border Control, some Chroma Smoother and frameserve over to MainConcept Reference to the consumer MPEG2 preset and the quality is fantastic.
What am I missing here?
