MKV cropping 3d sbs files

Hi all,

I recently made a hasty decision and bought a 3d projector without much research.... After spending hours reading through forums i found i had to rip my BRdvds using a friends PC in order to play them through my laptop and into the projector using stereoscopic player.

The projector is an acer 110x which has a native resolution of 800 x 400. I have made MKV files using makeMKV but most stutter when played through stereoscopic player in pageflip mode.

I want to reduce the resolution and bitrate of the files to try and lower the burden on my laptop, could someone please advise a good program for doing this and what settings should i use?
