Perhaps someone knows if this is possible. I have a Philips DVDR 3570H that I would like to try to connect the harddrive to my pc to recover data from it. (I have a USB/IDE adapter.) After I used split on some of the recordings, it suddenly reported that harddrive was empty. I am pretty sure that it is not empty, cause it didnt't "work" long and I did not press format or delete, and I read that this is something that can happen to this recorder if you split a long recording to many times (which is what I did). I have not recorded anything since that, I'm afraid I would spoil my chances then.
Now, if I connect it to the PC, I expect that I need some software or some tricks to be able to save the recordings.
Anyone knows of anything? Think it's even worth the try?
