Any downsides to installing K-Lite Codec pack ?

Hi Guys
I use Media Player Classic Home Cinema
And it works just great.

But I have one file that wont play the sound.

I wonder if installing the K-Lite codec pack would fix the problem?

I know it is supposed to be a good codec pack, but I don't want to risk mucking up my system.

Is it easy to uninstall ?

Should I create a restore point ?
