flv file to mp4 or avi for dvd player

me have some flv files for kids and want to put on DVD-avi to watch on TV.
need some help to convert to flv to mp4 or avi bcoz MP4Cam2AVI takes only mp4 or avi.

want to try xmedia or winff, but looking for simple and stepwise guide to understand all required settings.
