I will be filming outdoor marching bands (low light with lots of motion) and indoor concerts. I don't want to go crazy, and would like to stick with a prosumer unit. Am I better off with the Sony HDR-PJ790V or the Sony nex-vg30h as my main unit? I know Canon has a new units coming out in June, but I've always used Sony equipment? My current older model, an HDR-SR12, will be used for B footage, or cross field footage.
Can someone recommend a path for me? I don't need xlr inputs, however I would love to have two additional mics that will be field level, then sync up the sound when finished. I've read pluraleyes shoud assist me in the syncing.
I was also thinking of getting a new gopro2 unit instead of my older sr12, which has always has focus issues in low light.
Thanks for any ideas nd recommendations.
