Hi, so recently I purchased a pal dvd with subtitles in italian. I used dvd decryptor to save it to my harddrive, and then used subrip to save the subtitles as .srt. However I noticed the timing is completely off. I even tried using vobsub on the ifo file and looking at the idx file to check the timings and those were off as well. I'm not really sure why the timing is off.
I then tried downloading subtitle edit and adjusting the fps, which synched decently to the beginning of the movie, but not the rest of it at all. I'm not entirely sure why this is happening, my theory is that perhaps something went wrong with dvd decryptor and that's why even the idx file is messed up.
However it's worth noting that when I play the vob file that I got from dvd decryptor, and enable subtitles normally, the timing is fine. Not sure why it works within the original files, but not when I load the extracted subtitles as either .sub or .srt.
