Hello :) :
I have been having a problem  authoring/creating a DVD of one of the two discs of bonus material from a TV series' DVD set I downloaded from a bit torrents client. Even though I was able to create a DVD of the set's Disc 8, I am unable to burn Disc 7, which is exactly the same total size (albeit the disc that won't burn is showing "low quality," while the disc that did burn showed "average quality"). I bought the official DVD set as a Christmas gift for a friend, but wasn't willing to shelve out almost double that total price just for the expanded DVD set that included the bonus material.
To be fair, I have been having other issues with my computer of late, including having to click on a Real Player (I sometimes use Real Downloader for You Tube streams) dialog box each time I open my browser (which is IE) window, plus an inability to install updates to certain programs (Acrobat Reader, Acrobat Flash Player), etc. What is also strange is the Real Downloader button is still appearing on You Tube pages even though I supposedly uninstalled the program. So I plan on having a friend of mine perform a System Restoral to back before I had these issues, but after I installed the Nero program.
I had already created & burned several DVDs with Nero before I began having the problems, even though the Nero company told me this version (Nero Essentials 7) of Nero was incompatible with the Windows 7 OS. But as I had received the Nero disc with a burner I bought for my desktop computer, I decided to also try installing it on my laptop. And, as I said, no problems until trying to create & burn one disc of this two-disc project of bonus material from the same DVD set.
To perhaps help diagnose this problem, I have also uploaded & attached (in an MS Word doc, simpler than sending multiple .jpeg images separately) some screen caps of how my Nero project looks, including the error messages received, as well a text document of the error log.
Another note--I added audio to the self-created menus of my Nero project, although that shouldn't be the problem, as I did the same thing in the other DVD of bonus material I was able to burn.
I would appreciate any advice, suggestions, or thoughts about this problem, preferably a solution. I would like to be able to use my own menu with audio for the disc, not merely a default menu that may be obtained from use of another DVD authoring program. Although I am willing to use another DVD-making program if the same desired results could still be achieved as with the Nero program for that one disc I was able to burn. But it seems to me that would be avoiding the actual source of the problem. And I always prefer to find the source of the problem, as well a solution, if possible.
One more thing--I am not a computer expert, so please try to keep any directions in the Create-A-DVD-For-Dummies mode.
Thank you.
