MPEG Streamclip 1.2 freezes when loading MPEG 2 file

I have had good results using Streamclip until now. When I try to load this one particular MPEG 2 file, Streamclip immediately freezes up. The file opens fine in Mpg2Cut2 and plays fine in VLC and WMP 11. I searched for info using 'Streamclip freezes' but found nothing that addresses freezing when opening a file. Any clues?
