Bluray remux to .ts or .mkv?

Hi all,

I'm planning on remuxing bluray to either .ts or .mkv. I just need help deciding which one is better.

I plan on using Clown_BD to demux the bluray file and remux into either a .ts file or use mkvmerge to remux to .mkv.

I will keep the main movie file, main English audio file and English subtitles in PGS format.

I will play from my computer using Media Player Classic into my TV via HDMI cable. Or from my external media player into my TV via HDMI.

Does either .mkv or .ts have any specific advantages over the other to make it worth it?
