Change the main movie TS stream and still have the original menu working?

Hi,
Hard to describe my problem but i will give a go!

Bascially i want to replace the main movie MPEG-TS file in the blu ray with an edited version. However when i use the edited ( in tmpgenc 5 )version the movie will not play in my blu ray player but of course all the extras still play file

So is there any software / trick that will make the blu ray play with the edited MPEG-TS file? So i can keep the original menu etc or do i need to make a brand new menu for the edited file
