does any one know how to get composite or s-videsignal from a HM-DH5 D-VHS

I have the HDMI port undone.
I can't seem to get this thing to output SD video when connected to a copyguard remover. I tried it with just going from the VCR to the TV and still couldn't get any output.
Any ideas?
