Losslessly Convert 2.0 to 5.1

Can this be done? All I want to do is add an empty 3.1 channels, so it'd play exactly as it currently does but can be muxed with a different file that's 5.1.

It's an MKV created from a DVD via MakeMKV, AC3 audio.
