Hi guys,
after hearing about it for years I recently saw this series (I know, I am a laggard), even recorded it with my DVB receiver.
But I liked the show so much that I decided to buy the whole series on DVD.
As soon as I started to watch the first episode I noticed a very strange issue, never occurred before:
at some points (usually when there is camera/character motion) I see a series of parallel thin lines (I would call them "scanlines"). They don't affect the usabilty but I see them and they distract and bother me.
I tried to pause the video and proceed frame by frame but I didn't see anything, so they are created during playback for some reason.
Now I find myself in the absurd situation of having DVB recordings that look better than original DVDs.
Has anyone who owns these DVDs (especially R2 version) noticed this thing too?
Possible reasons?
P.S: I use a CRT TV set.
P.P.S: I repeat: any other DVD I have plays flawlessly.
