Having a problem with audio sync in x264 conversions.

It seems that any given ap that uses x264 gives me a sync problem which then needs to be run thru AVIDemux to fix. Problem with that, it looks like it messes with my HandBrake job. I have tried several different programs to see if it was just HandBrake, however it seems that it is the x264 codex that creates the issue.

How can this be fixed? Is it something I'm overlooking??
