HDV Split & Win 7

I’ve just built a new computer and am starting to install software. I’ve been using HDV Split to download video from my Canon HV30 on my old XP machine for some time. Going to the HDV Split page, I see it does not support Win 7. To top that off, I just realized my video is downloaded via Firewire. I do not have Firewire on my new motherboard. Not being a video guru, but just a casual user, how am I going to be able to download the video on my new computer?

Ok, just looked at the manual, and it looks like a USB cable came with the camera. I have the manual here, but no idea where the box is, but I never throw anything away. So, maybe I’ve answered my question. I must have bought the Firewire cable as an aftermarket accessory, but I’ve slept since then. I’ve had the camera since 2009. I can still download via USB cable, right?

However, what program can I use to download the video that is compatible with Win 7, 64 bit?
