Hello everybody.
I would like to know what kind of noise I'm dealing with. Check out the snapshot in attachment to this post.
These "white stripes" appear anytime I try to capture a VHS tape, indipendently from its condition (good, bad, old, new etc. etc.). They don't always appear at the same point of the video, they're highly unpredictable and seem to be completely random. They usually last just one frame.
Is there a way to prevent them from happening? I tried cleaning the heads of my VCR but it didn't do anything.
I tried using AVISynth BadFrame plugin, which seems to work nicely, but I'd like to know more about this kind of artifact I'm getting.
Thanks in advance.
