Im new to the forum and to video editing too. Im having some problems with an english movie that i need to add spanish subtitles, but the movie had subtitles in some parts because the characters spoke in another language, and the uploader added english subtitles to those parts, so i want to add spanish subtitles to those parts too, but i need them to be on the top of the movie, and not in the bottom, so the subtitles won't overlap.
So far, i used Avidemux to add spanish subtitles to the rest of the movie, and left out parts with english subtitles, and proceeded hardsub the spanish subtitles, but when i try to hard sub the other spanish subtitles (the ones i want on the top), no matter what i do, Avidemux still forces them to the bottom, and then they overlap with the others english subtitles. Also tried with AutoGK, but same results. Im using Substitle Workshop to edit the subs, and when i open the file on Subtitles Workshop, it opens correctly on the position i saved, but it won't on Avidemux or AutoGK. Any suggestion on how to do it?

I decided to take that approach because i couldn't find an option on Subtitles Workshop to change the position of those lines only, when i change the position (by click and drag), it changes the position of all the subtitles, and i don't want that, i only want them on top on those parts that already have english subtitles, not the whole movie.
