Hello,
I am so new to video and there are is much to learn. I would like to edit my video from my Nikon D7100 in Avidemux but it seems to stutter and is choppy. I don't understand why.
The .mov files play just fine in WMP or VLC, but from reading, I think I need to convert the highly compressed .mov and its PCM audio stream to something else so I can edit it with AVIDEOMUX.
So my workflow would probably be converter, then avidemux, then upload to youtube.
VLC says my video is H264 MP4 AVC 1920x1080 at 29.97 in Planar 4:2:0 YUV full scale encoding. Audio is PCM S16 LE (sowt) stereo at 48000 Hz and 16 bit sample rate.
Any comments that can help me understand this and not have to invest a week are appreciated. I have spent the entire day trying to understand why avidemux is stuttering and I cannot convert it. Perhaps I should buy a video editing program but then it is confusing from AVS Video Editor to Premier Elements etc.
I have simple needs. Thank you in advance for any advice!!!!
