I am trying to convert a DVD directly into an MP4 file, I don't want any .vob mess if I can avoid it. So I have a 2 DVD set that I want to convert and the first DVD already bugged around a little, but after a little fumbling, XMedia Recode finally did its job, it turned out well, as expected. Now with the second DVD, it doesn't budge. Since the first one encoded flawlessly (even though it was a little stubborn in the beginning), I'd rule out that the DVD is copy-protected and that this is the problem, if that makes sense. I'm sorry, I don't know how much I need to go into detail for this, so I'll just say that I was aiming for 320 kbps Audio bitrate (the format didn't bother me so I tried both MP3 and AAC) and 7500 kbps Video Bitrate and 480p resolution. The program brings up the little progress window for a second or two and then closes and says it's finished, but the output file is 0 seconds long and 2 KB big, so yeah. If you need any further information (which you probably do, but I'm not sure where to start) please tell me, I appreciate any help.
