MKVmerge extends total time if subtitle duration exceeds video duration

Hi

If the video is 2 hours long, and the subtitle is 3 hours long, after "muxing" the video will show up in the player as 3 hours long :(

Is there any way to prevent this, without having to edit the subtitle? Like chop off everything that exceeds the video stream length.
