I've been using rebox.net successfully for the past year or so on Windows 7 x64 to convert my mkv files for use on the Apple TV. I've just done a totally clean installation this week of Windows 8.1 and now I find when rebox.net does the initial scan of an mkv file I get the following error: "Sorry, the needed information generated from the input file cannot be found."
Rebox.net itself installed without any problems it launches ok too. I've tried using the compatibility wizard to get it to run under Windows 7 settings but to no avail.
It doesn't seem to be an issue with the mkv files themselves as the same ones that give an error on Windows 8.1 convert fine on another Windows 7 x64 pc.
I've had a look at mvktomp4 which looks like it could be a good replacement if there's no sign of getting rebox.net working.
Anyone else come across this yet?
