MPEG Streamclip is a great piece of software. I'm sure a lot of us here use it often. But there's a problem that I'm encountering that I don't know how to handle.
When I open a DVD to convert footage to use in Final Cut Pro, it usually asks if I want to fix time-code breaks. Then it will sometimes jump back and repeat some of the footage again. For example, I have a DVD of a 45 min show. I converted to a NTSC .mov. The resulting file is 1 hour 4 minutes. At 20 minutes in, the show starts over and plays until the end. Sometimes the sound will remain in sync and I just have to edit it down. Sometimes the sound will be out of sync.
Has anyone encountered this? If so, how can I prevent it from happening.
