Has anyone who owns a Liteon LVW5045 lost the ability to play back 96KHz 16 bit WAV files? I was given one of these recorders earlier this year and to start with could load WAV files to the hard drive and play them back. After upgrading the firmware to V205 (hacked version for >160Gb drive support) I could no longer play the files back. The player would either skip to the next playable track (mp3) or hang up.
Just recently I removed the 250Gb drive I had fitted in the recorder which had become unreliable and temporarily replaced it with a 20Gb drive. I was suddenly able to play by WAV files recorded to this drive but after adding some mp3 files to it I could no longer play back the WAV files. I tried downgrading to a non-hacked V197 firmware but this made no difference.
I've no idea why the recorder refuses to play WAV files even though it is supposed to be able to handle both 44.1KHz and 96KHz WAV files.
