Does HD writer AE 4 support Win8

Hi,
I have upgraded my computer to win 8 and now HD writer AE 4 stop working.
I saw that only HD writer Ae 1 can be supported on Win 8, but I do not have a disc with it and I can find only update.
Is there any way to run HD writer on win 8?
