Set up question

Hi
I have a Toshiba DVD Recorder player I am getting a Samsung Blu-ray DVD player for Christmas. Can anyone Please tell me if this can be Done or not? Can I hook Both of them up to my Verizon fios box if so is it Difficult to do? Thank you for any help on this.
