Hi
I'm bob and need some help
I managed to pick up a TBC VCR for £60 at a car boot sale (no remote) its a Panasonic NV HS-960
I have put some photos of the VCR so that you can see the inside condition of it (without opening it)
I tested the vcr at home (Vcr Svideo to Camcorder (pass thru) than Camcorder to PC (via Firewire)
All looks ok, but i would like to get the heads and drums clean as a peace of mind and i am about to
embark to transferring 20 VHS tapes to MP4
I have read the guides and seen the videos on tube on how to clean the heads and drums , but i'm a
little nervous and opening the VCR up and trying it myself especially the drum cleaning procedure.
So i was wondering .... is there any forum members that can do that for me i will of course pay for the service and
all postage charges ( i live in the UK). If not can anyone recommend a shop where i can get it done, i can post off the VCR anywhere in the UK
i know there are lots of electrical shops around, but i wanted to ask here at VideoHelp which ones are good and will do the job properly
Thanks in advance
