Help needed , connecting Sony PSC1 Video communication device to TV

Hi guys . The Sony Video Communicator uses S-Video .Our TV has only HDMI and VGA connection ports . I have troubles connection these devices for quite a bit of time trying different adapters and cables . Finally I purchased a transformer box that converts S-Video to HDMI .So I have picture now. No sound . I have attached the connection schemes of both devices . I tried connecting the single Audio out on the Sony to the red and white component Audio on the TV . But this is not working because the video component is not connected.

Please help me figure out how to make the sound working :rolleyes:
