A new unknown format .$ts

Hi,

I bought a new DVB last week and connected it with the TV. I recorded a video with the help of USB, which is connected to the DVB. After completing the record, when i plug the USB to the computer, recorded videos were in the .$ts format with some supporting files of various other formats starting with $ sign. I could not play those in my computer. How can i convert those files playable in computer.
