I'm ripping a BD and most of the video give me no trouble with Handbrake after I've decrypted it's content on HDD ; I've done so with DVDFab option Blu-ray copy, sub-option Full Disk then check decryption right before it start. I point the decrypted content root folder to Handbrake then make MKVs as easily as I'd do it for a DVD. The title content directly reflect the file names of the sub-directory of BDMV\PLAYLIST which redirects to BDMV\STREAM, so far the 2 names not corresponding ; ie: the title that interest me is 67 00116.MPLS (02:18:15) with the playlist 00116.mpls containing
<00000M2TS....
&
$........00000M2TS......
and the stream 00000.m2ts being 2:18:17 long in VLC, which is largest file and the 2nd one not even an hour long.
So, as I previously stated, most titles are as easy to work with as regular titles directly from a DVD. The issue I'm having is with the main title which is multi-video on VLC. The 1st video is display just as any video but the 2nd one is in a separate windows entitled VLC (Direct 3D output) ; I'm pretty sure of the order as the codec information reflect the different sizes of the videos. Also the 2nd have lots of empty content (black frame without sound), like it's waiting for some moments to popup, and the last audio track reflect it's content. The largest is the title as I'd expect on a regular console player, the alternate video seem like commentary but I don't know how it would be displayed on a console. Could it be that the alternate would be displayed as picture-in-picture when it's content isn't empty? If I'd pay attention to it on my setup, I'd open my laptop lid and use it as 2nd monitor and put the 2nd (smallest) window in it.
I know VLC allow to choose from different video tracks and Matroska Multimedia Container support multiple video tracks, so I'm wondering if I could compress the m2ts into such mkv. Albeit that solution would not allow the interactivity I assumed (end of previous paragraph).
The m2ts is pretty large and I'd like to have a smaller file which allow the same functionality or at least doesn't loose content, by being multi-video.
Thank you kindly for your help
