VirtualDub - Drop Frame

Hi,

i bought a VCR player which can playback true NTSC and bypass ES10 (set to NTSC also) it come out fine.

But the problem is when i cap using VirtualDub it has many drop frame, but no insert frame as what i notice

How do i solve the drop frame issue??

My desktop is running INTEL CORE I7-4770 SOCKET 1150 3.40 GHZ, 16GB MEMORY

Help with REGEX

Hello

I am trying to get channels from:
http://www.afromotion.tv/afrotv/all

Such as TFM.

However, the m3u links are protected with WMSAUTH=.....which make the m3u link expire after a couple of minutes. I have been reading this thread about the regex function that can automatically fetch the new WMSAUTH=... and make the link non expirable. I tried playing the stream in LIVE STREAM PRO with no success.

MakeMKV, MeGUI, DVDFab, AnyDVD HD won't rip blu ray

Hi,

MakeMKV, MeGUI, DVDFab, AnyDVD HD won't rip one of my blu-rays. They all get an error somewhere along the ripping process. Every now and again, one of the programs will rip successfully, but the completion bar will say it got to 94% or some arbitrary percentage. Of those programs that does rip it, the video file will have a 5 second chunk of the movie missing. Lame. I've ripped a few blu rays before but never have had this problem.

Could it be my Blu-Ray is corrupt? Is there another decrypter/ripper I could try?

MPC-HC seek bar doens't work correctly when playing ISO

I tried playing an ISO and the seek bar says the video is about five minutes long even though it's really about an hour. The video keeps playing after five minutes but I can't use the bar to skip around. If I do try skipping sometimes I do get to a point later in the video but I'm not sure why. The ISO plays in VLC but I just wanted to get it to work in MPC.

Problem with converting ISO into VOB

Hello, I have an 4.17G ISO video file.

When I click the ISO file for watching, it contains six sections.
The first four sections are 26 mins long each.
The fifth 4 mins.
The sixth 11 mins.

So I tried to extract VOB files using winrar.
The result is I got five VOB videos.
The first four are only 10 mins long each, though the file size is 1GB, which means I lose 16 mins for each of four files.
The fifth one is 4 mins.
The sixth one is gone.

What should I do to extract properly??

Have made an entry into a video competition and would like thoughts on what I could do better? We were not able to take a slider or anything, which I think is my immediate area for improved shots? Post your thoughts please, this is my first competition! If you like it, please do so on Vimeo, if you really like it please share also??

Would love technical advice also, use of lens, positioning/angles, editing, music etc.

Help with Regex and m3u streams

Hello Biezom

I am seeking help for REGEX structures in order get dynamic links from m3u streams available online for free.

I try to get channels from:
http://www.afromotion.tv/afrotv/all

Such as TFM:
http://www.afromotion.tv/afrotv/watch/O

They have a WMSAUTH=... at the end of the m3u links which make it expiring. I tried using xml in live stream pro to play those channels without them expiring with regex but no luck. I dont know what I am missing.

Voice Clarity in Movies - Best solution?

What are the best audio renderers or DSP's or audio decoders (and settings) for achieving voice/dialog clarity when watching movies? A lot of movies have dialog that sounds too soft to be heard when music or sound effects are playing at the same time.

The only thing I know is setting speakers to 2/0/0 which helps a bit if I remember correctly. (for example in FFDshow audio's settings or PotPlayers internal settings)

I personally use PotPlayer as my player of choice. It has a "voice emphasis" setting but it makes the audio sound worse.

Best Freeware Video Capture PLUS compression at same time?

Hallo,

I am looking for a good freeware Video Capturing software, that compresses the video while it is recording/importing the video.

I have Nero 7 from 2007 (don't laugh), but it's capturing file size is enormous. I have only captured three minutes and it is already at 690mb. It's audio quality is bad, too.

Any advice is appreciated! Thank you.

Artifacts in Screen Capture of Streaming Video

Hi all,

I am trying to create a screen capture (using SimpleScreenRecorder and Linux) which includes an online video stream being shown on screen. During the streaming part I get offset-artifacts that are probably somehow caused by the interplay of my screen recorder and the stream web player in my browser. An example of such an artifact is shown in the attached image. It's particularly prevalent when there is much motion in the streaming video (without motion it's of course not so easily visible).
The artifacts are not visible when watching the stream while recording but are quite noticeable in the recorded video afterwards. I already tried doubling the Framerate of my recording (set it to 50, the online stream has 25 fps) but the artifacts still occur with what feels like the same frequency. Any ideas how I might get rid of those? Or remove them afterwards by somehow detecting and filtering them out while converting the captured video?
I don't think it's dependant on the capture software I used (tried another one and had the same problem).

Does daisy chaining multiple devices degrade video signal?

I'm wondering if multiple devices will degrade the video signal?

My setup is:

Panasonic NV-HS930 s-vhs player --> TBC-3000 timebase corrector --> VCC-3010 Colour corrector --> Sony XV-C900 Colour corrector --> Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle.

All connected by short 50cm s-video cables. I guess I could lose the VCC-3010 in the chain but I like the RGB colour controls.

Best instagram rendering option in MS13?

Hi,
I am making a few videos for Instagram using Movie Studio 13. Now that Insta is 60 seconds i have more creative options.

That said, the recommended size is 1090 X 1090 im lead to believe? (anyone know any different?)

So, once i have finished making the video, i have to render it, and i am having trouble selecting render option that suits that size..

None of the render output options have a 1090X1090 option, the best is 1080 X 1440.

Also i need it in MP4, so was hoping anyone familar with the codecs etc.. which is the best one to use? also prefer to keep the files as small as possible so it loads quicker on mobile devices.

If i select, 1080X1440, yet made the video at 1090 X 1090 does that change it? or will the total dimension of the frame stay the same, and the pixel density will remain with in that?

Any input welcome.

How to play a VCD with dual language tracks?

Hello,
I used to own a standalone VCD player to play my discs on. There was a button on the remote that I could choose which language track to play (some discs have two mono channels, each one with a different language).
Now I don't have that player anymore, and when I attempt to play the Video CDs on my DVD player, both the audio channels are played on top of eachother so I hear both languages at the same time. Any solution to this without having to re-author the discs?

How to compile jpeg images into timelapse video, on-demand?

I would like to compile a series of webcam .jpg images into a video and serve it from my website host. The complication is that I want to do this, on-demand, so that the video is always current (i.e., the previous 3-hours).

Any assistance wil be appreciated.

Cut AVI Without conversion
