I have a little camera i use on the front of my bike. First day I have used it and I've had an accident! Typical, that file doesnt play.
The original file and is 326MB in size.
Steps ive tried
1.Tried opening in
VLC, nothing, doesnt even give a 'Broken or missing index' error.
2.Tried
DivFix++ it shows this:
Index frames detected.
Error detected at byte: 2227224
Skipped 8 bytes.
New Stream Size : 55860
Total Error Count : 72
Total Frame Count : 97
Video Data Frames : 70
Audio Data Frames : 27
And gives me a 60kb file that has no video when played in
VLC
3. Tried
RemoRepair, it gives a 4.24 minute file which is audio only. It also give a BMP file which is a still of the video.
4.
Repair Video Master says 'Repairing Video Index (aggressive mode)' and give a 10kb file with no video
5.
Bandifix gives a 'File is not corrupted error'
6. Tried playing in
Potplayer it gives
'Unable to grt video/audio':
ync Reader::Output
==========================
Unable to get video/audio data.

7.
Digital Video Repair gives 3 second 302mb file which doesnt play in VLC, although kind of does in
KMplayer
8. Tried playing original file in
KMplayer, it opens and starts playing the audio, but you cant scan through it. You can hear the accident right at the end :)
Playing the video generated in step 7 give a 5 second file, it shows a still picture (a different one to step3) and some audio.
9.
Avidemux says it cannot open file.
10. Tried
ffmpeg. Ran command prompt, went to where
ffmpeg was and ran ffmpeg -i "f.avi" -c:v copy -c:a copy "good.avi", but got ffmpeg is not a recognised program. I checked but there is no ffmpeg.exe.
11. Tried
Any Video Converter. Attempted to transcode avi into avi, but it didnt work.
So yo can see I've tried a few options! Theres definitely some audio there, possibly some video, as I have seen still images. Does anyone have any further things I can try?
