Dear all .

I met some troubles in my circuit which is a college project. I am here cause I know that

someone here has ability to help me out .

Maybe my question is below :

In this circuit, the chip I used is MAX807NEWE,This is MAX807NEWE's datasheet:

http://www.hotenda.com/datasheet-item/2224093/MAX807NEWE%2B.html .

I would like to know how big the resistance that I need to choose so that my circuit can operate normally? How to

calculate it?
Your help will be appreciated!

Best Regards
Vicky

Hello there, i have 1080i AVC 29.970 fps HDTV .TS files and i have to operate with IVTC. But the problem is, if i apply the TDecimate() filter to change fps from 29.970 to 23.976 fps, the video playback looks jerky. How to pass this problem?

Interference when Capturing video

I get a strange intermittent buzzing sound when capturing videos from camcorder tapes or from my VHS Video player. It is quite low but still annoying. I wondered if it were the capturing device (Dazzle) I have considered buying a new one more expensive and comparing but I don't want to pay out and find it is no better. Does anyone have any thoughts please.

How good is this ATSC modulator?

I've never before seen an 8VSB ATSC modulator that cost under $1000, until today. I found this here http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/STELLAR-LABS-33-11980-/33-11980 which costs only $299. It appears to allow independent setting of the digital channel number and the physical channel (transmit frequency). It looks like a good deal, but I'm not sure. Before I spend that much money, I'm going to want to get some input from others who used it.
Here are some things that I'd like to know, and hopefully the community here will be able to provide some definitive answers.
Does it work with sound, or only video? (One review on Amazon, where it's also being sold, said they don't get sound out of their TV when using it)
Does it allow setting of the sub-channel number? (I can't find any documentation on this, so is it limited to using only the first sub-channel for each channel?)
Does it work with 1080p video? (one review on Amazon said it was downscaling their video from 1080p to 720p)

I don't know if the complaints on the Amazon reviews were just from people with defective units, or if these are actual problems with the device, so I hope some users here on this forum will have used this device, and will be able to provide some definitive answers.

MPEG2 to MP4 - Some questions.

$

Hello,

I have some MPEG2 stuff recorded from television.

I'm familar with editing video material from VHS and digital camcorders ("Home Videos").

But I'm a novice in converting MPEG2 material recorded from television. I never did it before :p

I want to encode more modern and smaller MP4 files from it. The MPEG2 are too big and inefficient to me.

For that Task, I want to use the software I'm familiar with. That is AviDemux, KDENLive and Audacity. (I think, KDENlive is unnecessary here. I don't want to alter the movies itself)

Here are my novice questions:

For the video part (I want to use MPEG4-AVC for the video codec):
1. Should I deinterlace (if necessary) or keep the interlacing?
2. Should I inverse-telecine, if possible? (Especially cinematic movies)
3. If I should deinterlace, should I resize the anamorphic material to square pixels too? (720x576 -> 1024x576 and 720x480 -> 854x480) Or only set the pixel aspect ratio flag to the proper value? Which is better?
4. What do I do with crappy PAL<->NTSC conversion that were done by frame blending? Are there filters to reverse it?
5. Is crf=22 enough?

For the audio part (Would be AAC)
1. I don't have a surround speaker system. How to mix 5.1 channels down to 2.0? I think, the two left tracks together, the two right tracks togheter, the center to both at -6dB (half level) and drop the LFE?
2. How much AAC bitrate is equal quality to a stereo AC3 track with 384kbps?
3. Which is better quality? AC3 or MP2 (Sometimes, there are audio tracks in both formats)
4. What exactly is "Dolby Prologic"? Do I need to do something with it or can I simply encode it as stereo?
5. Same question goes to "Dolby Digital" - What is it exactly? Do I need to do something with it to get regular stereo sound?

Hello!

Thank you for clicking on my post. It shows that you're willing to help me out, and I appreciate it.

Anyway, I am using Sony Vegas pro 14 and I am making an intro from scratch. I have my name on an image that fades in, and sits still for a while. I wanted to spice it up a bit, and add the white line that wipes over it, kind of like a like a seal type thing. Can't find an option in Vegas, any help? Apollo Audio DVD Creator

Hello one and all.
I have this software called[B] "Apollo Audio DVD Creator" that is a software used to put many (over 50) songs (in MP3 or WAVE files) onto a DVD.
I t used to work fine. But with all the updates to Windows 10 it stopped working. I don't know why.

I tried running it in "Administrator " and also shut off my Firewall and shut off all the Anti - Malware and Antivirus Virus programs. It still doesn't work.

I understand that it works well in Windows 2003.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Using DVD recorder with HDMI

$

My cable company recently changed their cable boxes to where they now only use HDMI. Previously, I was able to use my magnavox hard drive dvd recorder to record tv.

Is it possible to continue to record off the tv with an adapter? I purchased an HDMI to AV converter but can't seem to get a tv picture through the recorder. I'm connecting the HDMI cable to the HDMI input on the converter and then the other end of the HDMI cable to the ouput on the dvd recorder. I'm then connecting the AV cables to the outputs on the dvd recorder and then the other ends of the cables to the TV.

Am I missing something? does the cable box also need to be directly connected to the dvd recorder?

I've had it with Microsoft and Windows 10 !

I've used every Microsoft O.S. since Windows 95. Most of my desktops and laptops are somewhat older, running Windows 7 Pro. Also have 8.1 and Windows 10.
With Windows 10, it takes 10-15 minutes or longer before the hard drive stops spinning (furiously) because of updates and other crap running in the background.
Windows 8.1 is similar, but not as bad. Now I've noticed that even my Windows 7 Pro desktops or laptops are doing the same thing..... as I sit there waiting and waiting and waiting for the hard drive light to end it's madness. I use the Windows Sidebar (CPU & Memory) to see what's going on, on all my machines, including Windows 10, and it infuriates me that I no longer have control over my computers.

SO.... I took an older desktop that originally came with Vista, which worked fine for me, and installed WINDOWS XP PRO on it. It practically boots up instantly, no muss, no fuss and no waiting. Getting on line is still possible, although most websites won't display properly, or at all, because of the age of the browser. Some versions of Firefox still work with Windows XP, so if I wanted to, I could use Firefox as an alternative to Internet Explorer. A lot of my older Windows programs do not work properly on 8.1 and 10.

After the release of Windows 10 in 2015, Microsoft created so many problems for older operating systems that didn't exist before, that I'm completely sick of it !
I DON'T NEED "Anti Malware Executable" or "Windows Defender" or "Microsoft Edge" and things like "scheduled scan" and a host of other nonsensical BLOATWARE as part of the operating system.

Obviously, things are not going to change in the near future. I've read that suport for Windows 7 will end in 2021. So Windows 7, my favorite O.S., will become the
new "XP", obsolete and unsupported.

I don't need to use my XP machine daily, just once in a while to run older software...... that I don't want to give up. Yes, I know Windows 10 has "Compatibility Mode", and it does work in certain circumstances, but it's just not the same, and much easier to use software that was originally designed for a specific operating system.
Am I crazy ? definitely yes.....

Need to get wired

I want to wear a wire to grab evidence of my noisy neighbor. My useless landlord refuses to do anything about it and just referred me to the cops who probably won't do shit either so I wanna document every minute and every interaction I have with the dumbass.

Anyone recommend a specific wire? Are they all remote or do some have storage capabilities? The USB audio recorder I grabbed from ebay is a crappy one that records 4-bit WAVs and the timestamp keeps being reset. The timestamp is important.

A sensitive one I could place outside my window or outside his without him noticing would be great, especially one that can wirelessly transmit and which I don't need to recharge every hour.

Thanks.

DV to Lagarith conversion help

I have some DV footage that I want to archive in the Lagarith format.

I've read that DV is yuv411p colorspace.

What does this translate to in Lagarith? YV12, YUY2, or RGB?

I don't want to lose color information.

Also related question: Even if the source is not full RGB, when doing color correction, should I still output to full lossless RGB? Even if the source is not? I am thinking that perhaps the color correction might digitally create or shift colors inso that full RGB is warranted.

Thanks!

Does anyone know of a software that can burn many songs (audio files in MP3 or WAVE) onto a DVD-R, creating a menu, too?

Processing HDMI input with EDID emulation

Hi, I need to capture and process HDMI video with a PC, and display it on a screen for a project of mine. The video stream resolution will be 1920x1200@60p, it won't need recording, just processing and outputting (a bit of OCR every second or so, and some text overlays), but because of the OCR I'd like the captured stream to be reasonably crisp. I'll also need something to emulate the screen's EDID.

So far I think this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014MQIVPS should do the job for capturing, and I would use this https://www.hdfury.eu/en/home/5-dr-hdmi.html for EDID, but together these are pretty pricey ($250 + shipping). Do you guys think this can be done cheaper? :)

Edit:
It seems even that the card I wanted doesn't support 1200p. FWIW I have 1200p60 input, but I'll settle for any framerate, even 10fps and lower, as long as the picture is clear.

Hi. I'll soon be taking delivery of a media player capable of playing H.265 files which means I've started some work using this codec. I use MeGUI which is doing the job but with a yellow warning triangle in the taskbar icon. Where do I find out what the warning is about?

Can anyone please explain the options, especially the first 3, and the settings ( e.g. what is "default is 1" in the first 3 options?) of FFmpeg alimiter filter?
