help with brightcove

Hi guys,

I have used ffmpeg successfully in the past to download a .ts file from a .m3u8 file location.

Since a particular service moved to being hosted by Brightcove, I am still able to download as normal, however, no audio track is downloaded along with the video.

When streaming their is clearly an audio track, but when downloaded ffmpeg on its final line gives me Video = 892312kb audio = 0kb , and there is no audio track selectable in VLC etc

Anyone run into something like this before and have any hints for how I could go about downloading these videos with sound?

Problem with VHS levels adjust on red color

Hello all,

I am having some trouble with adjusting the levels on my VHS captures.
I tried AutoLevels and AutoAdjust and in most cases I like their results on the brightness, but in some cases the Red color has some horrible uniform patches. This I sometime see on Green as well, but much more rarely than on Red.

In the pictures below, the problem is on the girl's cheek. If I look at it from below the monitor, it looks horrible. If I look from above it looks ok. This is weird also.
The first picture on the left is original captured video, the middle picture is AutoLevels and right picture is AutoAdjust.

I have attached a short video sample and the script I used to test the adjusts.

Do you have any suggestion on how to fix this ?

Video conversion but no audio

Afternoon All,

I've searched the net, and tried various tools but with no luck, so here goes

I am targeting MKV container with H.264 video conversion and AC3 audio ( which I typically copy rather than convert).

I have a vob file which some players play audio and some don't (VLC does play the audio) - so presume there is something wrong with the audio in some way. The Video and Audio length metadata are both incorrect, but the video plays to the end regardless of this.

When I load the VOB file into XMediaRecode it does not detect the audio track at all.

I have also tried to convert the VOB using VLC and I also loose the audio. In VLC i have tried both copying the audio and converting (AC3 to AAC) it using the bit rate and sampling rate settings to match the original audio settings. The conversion target i used was MP4.

I've uploaded the MediaInfo details.

I have this same problem with about 10% of my media collection.

Any and all help gratefully received.

Error Hecv file without sound

I use ffmpeg tool to convert video to * .HEVC format

but I have a problem that the file after converting it does not contain audio (images only)

Everyone can help me make it contain sound

p / s: The file format is required * .HEVC

Avidemux only captures part of video SOMETIMES

Using HDHomerun and TVHeadend I'm recording tv shows and then editing them using Avidemux to get rid of commercials and padding. Usually everything is fine. Some times Avidemux is only able to see say 8 mins of a 30 minute show. VLC and Classic Media Player able to play the entire show no problem. The shows are recorded in TS format. Anybody have any clues of the problem or how to fix the problem? Thanks Skye.

BM Intensity Shuttle Owners Feedback Needed

Hello to the owners of the BlackMagic Intensity Shuttle, I have a question for you in case you used it to stream videos from its HDMI input or from computer to an external analog device such as a VCR or a TV using its analog outputs.

- My 1st question is, Can the BM IS be used in streaming mode without computer if fed a signal to its HDMI input and still able to converts and outputs that signal to the analog outputs assuming it's powered by an external USB power?
- My 2nd question if the first answer is NO, Does the BM IS takes the HDMI signal converts it and routes it to its analog outputs as long as it is detected by the computer and Media Express?
- My 3rd additional question if HDMI is not used is, What type of Video files can the Media Express read from the computer hard drive and able to route them from USB to the analog outputs of the IS?

How can I recreate the FCP7 "Ripple Dissolve" effect in Premiere Pro?

Hey everyone, so I realize this might be a bit of an odd question, but here's what I'm dealing with: I have an old Final Cut Pro 7 project file (several actually, but this issue only applies to this particular project,) that I don't want to lose access to in the future. Apple has completely abandoned FCP7, and current versions of macOS do not support the software anymore. As a result, I'm converting all of my FCP7 projects into Premiere Pro (and quite likely DaVinci Resolve) projects in an effort to ensure that I can continue to access them as needed. My process has been to create an XML file in FCP7, and to then import the XML into Premiere Pro, relink the media in Premiere Pro, and adjust any material that didn't translate properly as needed, using a previously completed video as a reference point.

When this video was initially created, the ripple dissolve effect was used pretty heavily for transitions, but Premiere Pro does not have a similar built-in transition, so every one of these has been replaced with a generic cross-dissolve. I want to recreate the ripple dissolve effect and dump the generic cross-dissolve. Does anyone know how to do this? The old preset sort of looked like what would happen if you threw a stone into a pond and watched the water ripple outward. The closest thing I've found are tutorials for a "spin" transition effect, (which FCPX has as a built-in preset, but Premiere Pro doesn't,) but this isn't quite the same as what I'm looking for.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you all in advance for your time. Also, if you know how to do this in DaVinci Resolve as well, please let me know as I'm sure I'll have this question again when I create a DRP file from my XML as well.

VirtualDub video capture - segmented AVI

Hi All,
Trying in capture video VirtualDub(1.10.4) and output in 2GB segmented AVI format.
I setup the spill system setup by default.

My first AVI segment is 1.85GB. This is OK.
But the second AVI segment is 4.33GB. This is over the 2GB limit.

Is there problem with my setting ? Thanks in advance.

ffmpeg version of mkvmerge --split parts-frames?

Hi all,

Is anyone aware of an ffmpeg command analogous to mkvmerge's --split parts-frames command?

As implied, I'm trying to segment some mkv's at designated IDR frames (yes, they are IDR frames) but I find that mkvmerge keeps producing some corrupt files (I am getting playback issues at random parts that don't exist in the source--I describe the issue in detail here), so I wanted to try another option. That said, I've never understood how ffmpeg does file splitting. Since I have the exact IDR frames I want to cut on, I prefer an option that allows that specificity, rather than a time-based option, which is all I can seem to find with ffmpeg.

Trying to record Chaturbate ticket shows

Been researching this and searching for an answer, but can't find anything useful. From my digging I have been able to determine that Chaturbate uses HLS streaming.

I'm on Linux and I have been able to record public shows with a variety of methods - streamlink works great, so does ffmpeg. I can also use mplayer to play the stream.

Problem is when a ticket show starts, even though I've got a ticket and can watch the video in my browser, trying to record/stream with anything else fails.

streamlink doesn't actually log in, so I understand why that doesn't work, but the URL for ffmpeg and mplayer includes my username and some other stuff that looks like auth tokens.

I've checked both in and out of ticket shows and the URL I'm using doesn't change. What I have noticed is the URL that works for ffmpeg and mplayer is in the form:

Can anyone help me figure out if it's even possible to capture ticket shows, and if so what I'm missing?

AVS2DVD error audio duration shorter than expected

I've been using the same method over and over again and suddenly it gives he same error in the same timespot when converting DV file to DVD.

Workflow is the same, put minidV tape in VCR copy to DV-AVI, put to AVS convert to DVD and suddenly it repeats the same error in Audio part, where it says that audio duration is sorter than expected. All other programs do not intefere, the disk is literally ot used for anything, since it's not OS disk. Retransfered tape, still the same error.

Audio software used inside AVS2DVD is ffmpeg.

The files are standard 30 to 90 minutes DV files.

Region free Samsung D530 R4 player skips play on some NTSC DVD's!

I recently remote hacked this player via Dobbo Downunder's method from the hack section, but I have trouble playing some NTSC DVD's, particularly R1 Married with Children D1 from Mill Creek and R1 Lois & Clark S1 D3. At random times the player skips parts of show. Some NTSC DVD's play ok though I think. I bought this player brand new. Did I buy a dud? Is there anyway to factory reset this player or reset remote hack to the default region again (without using the grid method, want to avoid getting the tray error). Thanks!

Trying to remove any videos from my Zune 30Gb.I can't seem to find it on my computer when I plug it in?I tunes won't let me download to my computer?Can I take it apart and access the HDD to get my files?I am a novice on The Zune,I just want my files.

Multiavchd audio title duration issues

Anyone tell me how to have multiavchd automatically detect the correct track length of audio tracks? Tried creating a cue sheet and adding that but default duration stayed the same. I making discs with like hundred or more tracks and individually entering the duration in seconds and not minutes is a pain

Premiere spying on me?

I just installed the free trial version of Adobe Premiere Elements. I notice that to use it you have to be logged in to your Adobe account. I also notice that when I load a video there is a lot of network traffic. Is this software sending my videos or info about them to Adobe? I would ask Adobe about this, but there seems to be no way to contact support unless you've got a purchased product.

Nero Showtime multi region

I am in the USA so everything is Region 1. I bought a region 2 DVD which I was able to play twice, now it's giving me this. I can now only play region 1.
