TSDuck MPEG Transport Stream Toolkit

Hi,

I would like to announce the availability of an open-source product named TSDuck.

TSDuck is an extensible toolkit for MPEG/DVB transport streams. TSDuck is ideally used in digital television systems for test, monitoring, integration debug, lab, demo and more. In practice, TSDuck can be used for:
  • Transport stream acquisition or transmodulation.
  • Analyzing transport streams, visualizing the PSI/SI signalization.
  • Monitoring conditions on the stream.
  • Working on live transport streams, DVB-S/C/T, ASI, IP TV, or on offline transport stream files.
  • On-the-fly transformation or injection on the content and signalization.
  • Using specialized hardware such as cheap DVB tuners (USB, PCI, etc) or professional Dektec devices.
  • Emulating a CAS head-end using DVB SimulCrypt interfaces to ECMG or EMMG.
  • Content scrambling or descrambling.
  • And more...

TSDuck is developed in C++ in a very modular architecture. It is easy to extend it through plugins. In fact, the primary requirement for TSDuck architecture was: When I want to do something TSDuck cannot do right now, I want the new feature to be implemented within a couple of hours. Most of the time, the target is reached.

To be so easily extended, TSDuck needed to be simple. TSDuck is a collection of command line tools and plugins. There is no sophisticated GUI. Each utility or plugin performs only one elementary feature but they can be combined in any order.

TSDuck is also a large collection of C++ classes to manipulate MPEG/DVB transport streams, data, tables, sections, etc. The TSDuck C++ library can be used by external applications.

Binary installers are provided for the tools and plugins as well as for the development environment to use the TSDuck library from external applications.

The TSDuck web site is https://tsduck.github.io/

It contains links to the source code, the binary installers, the user's documentation (PDF), the programmer's documentation (Doxygen).

This is a framework I have developed in the last ten years for my own needs. So, everything here was useful at some point...

Enjoy.

Problem With New Build

I have the new rig all assembled with the exception
of the video card (still waiting for the Gigabite RX560).

Case - https://www.in-win.com/en/gaming-chassis/301
CPU - https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113410
Mama/Board - https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA6BM56U1172
PSU - https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151095&ignorebbr=1
Memory - DDR3

In the test run, I disconnected the the HHD and turned on the power. The CPU cooler fan
cycled fine, however, three other LED fans would very briefly stop (1/10 of a second) and
resume only to repeat the same cycle. This went for other a one minute period.

Not sure if this matters but the fans are 3 pins and the board system fans are 4 pin headers.

Also, the fan of the PSU, is also not spinning.

In addition, I checked the back of the mama/board and only the spacers provided
by In Win were installed.

I hope someone can be of helf, as I am a stump two legged computer builder.

Hi

Does anyone know of a video editing programme that has a slider option across the bottom of the screen that allows you to slow down and speed up frames for individual examination ?

It's to analyse golf swings to see where possible faults lie, either in the whole swing itself or incorrect body positions before, during and after the swing....

Thanks

I believe SMPlayer is quite a nice player.
However, as far as I know, a context menu is missing.
Does anybody out know some kind of a workaround?

I don't know if it is possible at all: is it possible to do a 'Send to' of a VIDEO_TS folder to SMPlayer?

Thanks

what encoder can take advantage of 16-core setup? converting bluray to mp4

I'm thinking of upgrading my 6-core setup (single CPU) setup to a 2x8-core/CPU setup. I'm wondering what software will allow me to fully utilize all the cores.

I've been using handbrake but I do not think it utilizes all the cores. I prefer software that is freeware but paid software is ok too if it's not to expensive.

Thanks!

Help Needed: DVD Region Hack for Harman Kardon Blu-Ray... Is it possible?

Hello everyone,
Newbie here, and I have a question regarding a Harman Kardon BDS 280. It is a 2.1 system, and I got it so we could put it in the bedroom, and I could still get some decent sound in there and not too much "equipment" visible in the room. Anyway, I have a Sony S6700 that is region free in the living room, but was wondering if anyone here could help me determine if it is possible to hack the HK system, and if so, how?

I appreciate if someone can help.

Thx

Logitech Harmony remote as replacement for LG LRH-539 DVD Recorder

Hi All,

I just picked up an LG LRH-539 HDD DVD Recorder at a thrift store for 10 bucks without the remote. I've used simple universal remotes with other DVD recorders in the past and were able to navigate all the features successfully, but with this model my other remotes don't seem to be able to access all the necessary menus and settings to be able to do much with the unit outside of basic recording using the default options/settings. So now I'm tasked with trying to find a replacement remote for this guy and ordering through LG is going to cost me about $50

So my question then is, if I put that towards a nice Harmony remote that I can use with other devices and get more of my moneys worth am I going to have the same issues as with my other universals or are the Harmony's more capable of duplicating the originals capabilities?

Any help here is greatly appreciated.

Below is an image of the original remote and all it's various buttons lol

flickering aliased lines

I'm trying to reencode a cartoon from a dvd, but the ugly lines are driving me crazy. I'm not good at Avisynth scripts, but I use Handbrake and Hybrid. Hybrid detects the video as interlaced: bottom field first, but it doesn't look interlaced to me. I've tried several deinterlacers, detelecine, and antialiasing filters, but nothing seems to fix ugly lines. Any ideas?

I've uploaded a 10 second clip from the DVD to MakeMKV where you can clearly see the flickering/aliased lines.

So I'm trying to record my screen as lag free as possible. I've tried OBS and VLC, but when I start recording while playing the video I want to record the video starts chunking. As I'm not very video nor Windows savvy I've only changed the fps and tried different software. Is there anything else I can try with settings or software?

Which DVDFab Products Do I Need?

$

I am a long time AnyDVDHD user who did not re-purchase from RedFox when Slysoft went out of business so it currently doesn't function at all. I am now considering DVDFab products. Their product line is somewhat confusing. I want to confirm which products I need to rip Bluray discs to my Windows 7 PC hard drive for playing over the network by a hardware streamer (Dune D1).

I think I need:
>Passkey to remove copy protection
>Cinavia remover for those discs that have it.

Do I also need Bluray Copy or can I just use ImgBurn to rip, like I did with AnyDVDHD? What benefits would Blu-ray copy provide over ImgBurn?

They have bundles of some of their products, but none of the bundles seem to include Passkey, so I assume that is a separate purchase in addition to any individual or bundled products, right?

Is there a way i can re-time all the lines in a subtitle file at once?

I have a video.
I have a subtitle (SRT/ASS) file.

The subtitle file is accurate, and the duration of the lines is good.

But all subtitle lines are 1.5~2 seconds delayed.

Like this:

I was wondering if there was a way to move all those subtitle lines 1.5~2 seconds back at the same time, instead of manually chance each line with a software like aegissub.

Saving current frame w/ Potplayer + madVR, not saving madVR effects

When i save current source or screen frame with PotPlayer, the effects that my external madVR renderer add to the video aren't saved in the screenshots.

Is it possible to do this with Potplayer? Is there another program that can accomplish this? MPC doesn't do it either so i'm guessing it's not possible

Hello, dear all.

---> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Paint

Which other similar programs like Microsoft Paint do you point to use in Windows 10?

I'm looking for a simple program. Just like Microsoft Paint. Portable and freeware, if it's possible.

And, do you kow if it's possible to find or make Microsoft Paint portable too, to run in Window 10 or newer Window's OS?

Thanks.

Best regards.

Hi all. Just a quick question. Which of these PSU's would ppl recommend?
I have an i5 4690k, Asus Z97-P motherboard, Crucial BX100 250GB, 8GB Cruciual ballistix sport DDR3, Radeon 4850 1GB.
Maximum power usage i've seen using a wattmeter at wall plug was 190w with CPU at 4.2Ghz all cores 100% on IBT and running GRID2 to load gfx card so really don't need anything over the 300-350w mark.
